Hello all,

I was wondering what the typical monthly electrical, gas and water bill is similar for a 1800-2000 sq ft detached, 1-family habitation in North Dallas suburbs like Plano, Richardson, Frisco, Allen etc, taking into consideration that the home uses free energy efficient bulbs, keeps the AC at 76 in the dead of summer for a family unit of three-4 people.

I alive in a 800 sq human foot, 1 bedroom apartment now with my wife (no kids still) and my monthly electric bill is nearly $forty only gets up to $60 in the dead of NYC's summers. My gas bill is about $xx/mo but every bit for water and rut, that'due south included in my rent. I'thousand merely curious to run into what people here are paying then I can go an idea of what to expect if and when I relocate and buy a dwelling house.

Thanks for reading!

Utilities costs around here all depend on the age of the house, the provider, the mode its insulated, etc... Look to pay around $100/mth on water, and around $200/mth for electricity/gas. Information technology gets college when the AC is on around the summer months and grass watering.

So around $300/mo...that doesn't seem likewise bad....

Does the $100/mo on water include watering the lawn, or just for household showering/dishwasher use merely?

My business firm is about 2000 sq ft and according to my electric visitor, I am paying more than for my electricity than my neighbors. I boilerplate about $200 to $250 a calendar month. Merely during the summertime I proceed my thermostat about 79 because if I don't, I'll probably be looking at close to $400. My water is nearly $85 a calendar month only I do not h2o our yard. My whole house uses electricity; nosotros do non have gas.

It all depends on usage. The example I specified was including backyard, laundry, shower, and other water usage. Ymmv

Nosotros average bill our electric and gas, and so it doesn't vary during winter or summer. Gas averages $25 monthly (water heater, cooking, domicile heat), and electric averages $135. Water is usually effectually $55 but more in the summer due to backyard watering.

Thanks for your input. Do y'all live in an older home? Exercise you have a gas stove, every bit I was wondering if this contributes to your overall monthly natural gas consumption.

Your case is interesting to me. Is there any advantage to averaging your pecker? any discounts? or does information technology only spread out the entire years cost of utilities while making it seem similar you're saving money?
